About the role
Join the Department of Justice as a Clinical Nurse at Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison in Kalgoorlie. You will provide primary health care and emergency response to adults in custody, working within a supportive multidisciplinary team on a balanced 12‑hour day shift roster.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate care, disease prevention, and health promotion for a diverse inmate population.
- Deliver culturally safe primary health services and respond to medical emergencies.
- Administer immunisations and manage chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with correctional officers, allied health professionals, and community services.
Required profile
- Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Experience in emergency care, general practice, Aboriginal health, or remote/community nursing.
- Immunisation competent; correctional experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
