About the role
The Continued Care Service (CCS) is seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinical Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team in North West Queensland. Based in Mount Isa, you will deliver advanced mental health assessment, treatment and care coordination for consumers with complex needs, operating within a recovery‑oriented, person‑centred model of care.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide evidence‑based treatment and support to promote recovery and community inclusion.
- Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams and act as a clinical leader for complex cases.
- Facilitate health education and support for consumers and their families.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to organisational policies.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary nursing degree and current registration/licensing.
- Post‑graduate qualification or enrolment in a relevant postgraduate program is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in mental health nursing, preferably in community settings.
- Valid C Class motor vehicle licence.
- Willingness to undergo pre‑employment screening and VPD risk checks, including vaccination or immunity evidence.
