Clinical Educator - Aged Care

About the role

Eldercare, a not-for-profit aged care provider serving older South Australians, is looking for an experienced Clinical Educator to join its Learning & Development team at Head Office in Eastwood. The role combines learning and development expertise with clinical knowledge to build the capability and confidence of the Clinical and Care workforce. It is a permanent position at 0.8 FTE or full time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver contemporary learning solutions for the Clinical and Care workforce
• Contribute to the Mandatory Onboarding and Annual Training programs delivered at Head Office
• Develop and deliver site-based toolbox education and targeted learning that responds to workforce, clinical practice and site needs
• Apply adult learning principles to create engaging, practical learning experiences, including face-to-face sessions, workplace resources, competency-based learning and evaluation of learning effectiveness
• Work with clinical educators, subject matter experts, leaders and site teams to turn clinical knowledge and organisational requirements into practical learning

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRAD
• Demonstrated learning and development or education experience
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards it)
• Clinical experience in aged care or a similar healthcare environment
• Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant requirements

Required skills

• Experience designing, developing, facilitating and evaluating learning programs
• Knowledge and application of adult learning principles
• Experience developing learning resources and competency-based assessments
• Facilitation, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
