Training Specialist

About the role

Mayfield is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to ensure employees have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to perform safely, effectively, and in compliance with business requirements. The role leads the development and delivery of practical, role‑specific learning programs and manages learning systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, coordinate and deliver training programs that build capability across the business.
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including content updates, user access and reporting on participation, completion rates and mandatory training compliance.
• Champion a culture of continuous learning, communicate training opportunities and collect feedback to improve future experiences.
• Develop, implement and maintain a company‑wide Skills Matrix to track technical and behavioural capabilities.
• Support the development and rollout of programs for apprentices, trainees and graduates, and oversee training budgets.

Required profile

• Qualification in Training & Assessment or Human Resources; Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in training coordination, learning & development.
• Proven ability to design and deliver engaging and effective training.
• Experience working with training providers (GTO & RTO) and managing apprentice/trainee programs.
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
