Clients & Markets Manager - NSW Government & Projects (12 Month Contract)

About the role

Clayton Utz is looking for a Manager to support the NSW Government Account and Projects Streams for a 12-month parental leave contract. The role oversees the strategic development and management of the firm's key initiatives for NSW Government and its projects practice, including client management, pursuit initiatives and related pitching. It reports to the Senior Managers for Projects and Public Sector and works closely with the other business development managers in Public Sector and Projects.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage the NSW Government account and work with the Projects practice groups in line with the firm's strategic objectives
• Work with senior stakeholders to identify and pursue client and practice area growth opportunities
• Manage and support individual client relationship development for account, practice area, stream and firm clients
• Lead pitches and pursuits for new and existing clients and support firmwide opportunities
• Support the development and marketing of emerging products and service areas
• Raise the market profile, provide client and industry insight to stakeholders, and support content creation and media engagement
• Mentor and lead team members
• Help implement the firm's strategy and communicate the vision and purpose of Clients & Markets within the firm

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in business, law or finance, with legal or client development experience, ideally from a professional services environment
• Proven leadership and people/team management skills
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively, with resilience, self-motivation and flexibility
