Cleaner - Residential and Commercial

About the role

Kristine Klean is hiring cleaners who perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties for residential and commercial clients. The cleaner reports to the Team Leader and keeps public and private spaces to the exacting standards required by the company. The role is full-time, part-time or casual, Monday to Friday (plus Saturdays), 7:30am to 5:00pm, with occasional overtime for urgent jobs. Pay is $22.00-$26.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Check the WhatsApp roster for changes and advise the Team Leader of any issues the day before
• Follow the company's cleaning policy and procedures, and handle chemicals and equipment safely, advising the Team Leader of faults or issues
• Clean homes and commercial premises to a high standard: scrub and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens and toilets; dust, vacuum, mop floors and clean windows and upholstery
• Replenish amenities, present the home according to client requirements and arrange pillows, cushions and throws
• Secure the premises and switch off lights before leaving
• Communicate with clients, report accidents and maintenance issues, tick off task checklists and work in a small team that may change daily

Required profile

• Basic reading, speaking and understanding of English
• Proven house cleaning experience desirable
• Sound knowledge of cleaning supplies and techniques desirable
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• Current ABN to enable subcontracting
• Completed police check
• Willingness to join the WhatsApp team group and to work flexible shifts

Required skills

• Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines
• Physical dexterity: agile, able to stand for more than an hour, climb stairs and lift materials
• Strong customer service, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Punctuality, reliability and attention to detail
