Cleaner - Aged Care Client Homes

About the role

Coastlink provides aged care services through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Support at Home Packages, and is seeking experienced, committed cleaners to provide cleaning services in client homes. The role reports to the Senior Care Partner, is casual with the option to move to part-time, and offers shifts across the Central Coast with extra hours available to supplement other work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality, timely and effective cleaning services
• Promote clients' rights and privacy in line with policy and legislation
• Handle client and family queries confidentially and promptly with the manager
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Coastlink services in line with Aged Care Accreditation standards

Required profile

• Valid Australian driver's licence and a car (essential)
• Previous cleaning experience and previous experience in an aged or community care environment
• Willingness and ability to travel and work across the Central Coast
• NDIS Worker Screen Check and Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid certificate (desirable)

Required skills

• Good insight into aged care services and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
• Communication, customer service and organisation skills, able to work without supervision
• Ability to use electronic tools such as documentation systems, email and mobile phone
• Ability to manoeuvre and use equipment relevant to the role
