Claims Advisor – Financial Lines

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Claims Advisor to join its Financial Lines team in Sydney. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office and involves managing complex claims for Directors & Officers, Professional Indemnity and other financial‑line products.

Key responsibilities

• Handle specialist financial lines claims, advocating for clients from notification through to final settlement.
• Provide technical advice on policy coverage and interpretation to clients and brokers, and challenge insurer indemnity denials.
• Manage moderate to complex claims in line with Marsh processes and client service agreements.
• Identify referral opportunities and collaborate with the Advocacy team on claim issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of insurance claims experience, preferably in financial lines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, insurers and agents.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Directors & Officers (D&O) and Professional Indemnity claim handling.
• Understanding of financial lines insurance products and policy interpretation.
