Civil Track Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Civil Track Engineer to join its Perth transport team. You will design, specify and deliver engineering services for rail transportation systems, including permanent way, track structure and associated civil works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.
• Develop rail track designs from concept through detailed design, including alignment, earthworks modelling and drainage.
• Create and check horizontal and vertical rail alignment drawings and associated civil drawings.
• Conduct calculations using manual methods and computer applications, and produce reports and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with road, drainage and structural designers to provide integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters, and manage small projects or work packages on larger projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Pathway to CPEng and RPEQ within 3 years and track designer competency within 6 months.
• Proven experience on major transport infrastructure projects, preferably rail or PTA projects.
• Experience with ARC infrastructure, ARTC or freight rail environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MicroStation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Bentley OpenRail.
• Experience with 12D (advantageous).
