Civil Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

KBR is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its Sydney team and contribute to major infrastructure projects across Australia. You will work on a diverse portfolio that includes transport, water, and urban development, building technical capability within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept to detailed design.
• Perform civil design activities such as earthworks, roads, drainage, utilities and related infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes and compliance with client and industry standards.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling and delivery activities while maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in civil infrastructure engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Exposure to design and delivery of roads, rail, water or urban development projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Civil design of earthworks, roads, drainage and utilities.
• Engineering calculations and technical report preparation.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and design standards.
