Contract Administrator – Construction Projects

About the role

The company is seeking a capable Contracts Administrator to join a respected builder on a high‑profile development on the North Shore. You will work closely with Project Managers and site teams to drive commercial delivery from mid‑construction to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of contract administration from project start‑up to finalisation.
• Procure and negotiate subcontractor and supplier agreements.
• Administer head contracts, variations, progress claims and extensions of time.
• Forecast and report project financials, ensuring cost control and budget alignment.
• Collaborate with site and design teams to resolve commercial and contractual issues.
• Contribute to risk management and value‑engineering initiatives.
• Assist in mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Ensure compliance with company systems, standards and legal obligations.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience in contract administration within the construction industry.
• Proven track record managing head contracts and subcontractor packages across residential and/or mixed‑use projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and solutions‑focused.
• Confident taking ownership and driving commercial outcomes.
• Team player who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.
