Civil Drafter – Land, Urban and Subdivision Projects

About the role

Stantec is looking for a Civil Drafter to join its Community Development team in Springfield, Queensland. The role provides civil drafting services using AutoCAD for land, urban and subdivision projects, which are based locally and across the Southeast Queensland region. The work sits within Stantec's community development consulting, covering master-planned communities, mixed-use developments, parks, recreation facilities and streetscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Civil engineering design for land subdivision, road and drainage projects using AutoCAD
• Prepare conceptual and detailed design drawings in line with statutory requirements and standards
• Take part in project delivery and keep output to a high standard within time and cost budgets
• Manage project deliverables, including quality control and coordination of drafting staff
• Contribute to improving design and drafting standards and meet client expectations

Required profile

• Demonstrated civil drafting experience, ideally in civil infrastructure, land, urban or subdivision projects
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD
• Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
• Commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development; 12D design experience highly regarded
• Associate's degree or Technical School Diploma/Certificate in Computer-Aided Design Technology
