Civil Drafter – Entry Level

About the role

AECOM is looking for a motivated CAD/Drafting Specialist to join its Highways team in Sydney. This entry‑level position offers the chance to develop technical drafting skills while contributing to major transport infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing 2D drawings and 3D models for highways and transport infrastructure.
• Support engineers and designers by translating design concepts into accurate CAD documentation.
• Produce plans, sections, details and other deliverables according to project requirements.
• Update and revise existing drawings as directed.

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently completed a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering Design, Drafting or a related discipline.
• 0‑5 years of drafting or civil design experience (internship, placement or graduate experience accepted).
• Strong attention to detail, good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Basic experience with AutoCAD.
• Basic experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
