Civil Design Engineer – Perth

About the role

WSP is seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join its Property and Buildings group in Perth. The role offers the chance to work on iconic projects across defence, DFAT, commercial and residential sectors while developing your career within a highly skilled, national team.

Key responsibilities

• Scope and steer civil works from concept through detailed design and construction support, coordinating roads, drainage, utilities and pavements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and partners, facilitating workshops, de‑risking decisions and delivering compliant deliverables.
• Mentor emerging engineers and champion digital design and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor to Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with 3‑10 years of experience in the Property and Building space.
• Commercial experience on medium/large building civil projects in Australia, eligibility for Australian Defence security clearance (Australian citizen only).
• Chartered status with Engineers Australia or willingness to obtain it with WSP support.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design software such as 12D and Civil 3D.
• Experience using stormwater programme DRAINS and water quality programme MUSIC (highly desirable).
• Working knowledge of Australian/New Zealand standards and codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC, etc.).
