About the role

Join Bailey Nelson as a Christmas Casual Optical Assistant for the busy holiday season across its South East Melbourne stores. You will help customers with eyewear choices and deliver a memorable eyecare experience.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers through the eyecare journey, offering styling advice and frame recommendations.
• Assist with optical requirements, ensuring each visit is warm and engaging.
• Maintain high energy in a fast‑paced retail environment and uphold operational standards.
• Collaborate with fellow assistants, store leaders and optometrists to keep peak trading running smoothly.

Required profile

• Full availability from early November 2026 to end of January 2027, including weekends and extra shifts.
• Previous customer‑service experience in retail, hospitality or a similar fast‑paced setting.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Reliable time‑management and organizational skills.
• Team player who builds strong rapport with colleagues and optometrists.
