Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Manufacturing & Supply Chain

About the role

Reporting directly to the founders, the newly created COO will own the Australian operation of a leading manufacturer and distributor of engineered transport and trailer components. Based in Campbellfield, you will work closely with the New Zealand leadership team to drive operational excellence and support the next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, warehousing and commercial operations.
• Develop and mentor high‑performing operational and commercial teams.
• Optimise production planning, inventory levels and supply‑chain performance.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
• Establish KPI, reporting and accountability frameworks.
• Improve customer delivery performance and business predictability.
• Develop future leaders and strengthen organisational capability.
• Support strategic growth initiatives across Australia and New Zealand.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a COO, General Manager or senior Operations Leader in manufacturing, industrial or distribution environments.
• Strong supply‑chain, inventory and operational management expertise.
• Experience managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) across a diverse product portfolio.
• Track record of delivering continuous‑improvement and measurable business performance.
• Ability to build high‑performing teams and develop future leaders.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with a hands‑on, strategic mindset.
• Ownership mindset and a drive to implement change.
