About the role
ACCIONA is seeking a Chief Electrician to lead the electrical operations aboard the Beverley, Australia’s largest registered jack‑up barge. The role supports the offshore intake structure project for the Alkimos desalination plant, ensuring safe and reliable power generation and distribution.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot generators, switchboards, transformers, distribution panels and cable runs.
- Test and service emergency power, UPS and alarm systems.
- Support jacking operations to provide stable power and verify electrical integrity during tow and move preparations.
- Follow vessel SMS, permit‑to‑work, LOTO procedures and maintain records, drawings and critical spares.
Required profile
- Australian electrical trade licence or recognised equivalent.
- STCW Basic Safety Training (PSSR, PST, FPFF) or equivalent.
- Construction Induction (White Card).
- Solid industrial or marine electrical experience.
- Ability to obtain Fit for Work medical clearance and National Crime Check.
