Chef De Partie – North Sydney Hotel Kitchen

About the role

Join EVT’s Rydges North Sydney as a full‑time Chef de Partie, leading a section in a high‑volume, fast‑paced kitchen serving hotel guests, bar patrons and event attendees.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage your kitchen section, preparing hot dishes, sauces, pantry items and special functions to hotel standards.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portion control and product knowledge across all outlets.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and WH&S compliance in all work and storage areas.
• Monitor, requisition and protect food products and equipment according to hotel policies.
• Complete duties promptly while upholding professional grooming and a positive team attitude.
• Attend scheduled meetings and follow directions from the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience as a Chef de Partie in hotels, restaurants or bistros.
• Experience across multiple sections such as pans, grill and larder.
• Ability to train, guide and mentor junior staff.
• Strong attention to detail, product consistency and high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent communication, can‑do attitude and ability to multitask under pressure.
