Chapter Lead First Nations Talent Acquisition

About the role

CommBank is recruiting a Chapter Lead First Nations Talent Acquisition to lead a team of Indigenous Career Sourcing Partners and contribute to the First Nations Careers squad. The role advances First Nations employment outcomes across the bank by driving attraction, hiring, employee experience and mobility initiatives. It combines people leadership, talent acquisition expertise and community connection.

Key responsibilities

• As a squad member: partner with Talent Acquisition teams and business stakeholders to increase First Nations representation; develop sourcing strategies to find and engage First Nations talent; build relationships with First Nations communities, organisations and referral networks; support attraction, onboarding, mobility and retention initiatives; advise on culturally safe recruitment practices; monitor sourcing outcomes and manage risks.
• As Chapter Lead: lead, coach and develop a team of Indigenous Career Sourcing Partners; build a collaborative, learning-focused culture and raise recruitment best practice; partner with the Delivery Lead and Product Owner to ensure the team has the right skills; support career development, goals, performance and wellbeing conversations; drive hiring and retention outcomes; influence senior HR and business stakeholders; share knowledge with other Talent Acquisition and People & Culture leaders.

Required profile

• A strong connection to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and a passion for advancing First Nations employment outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing people.
• Talent acquisition, sourcing or recruitment expertise, ideally across the full recruitment lifecycle.
• Experience building talent pipelines and engaging candidates through creative sourcing.
• Stakeholder management and influencing skills, including partnering with senior leaders.
• Experience in complex organisations and balancing strategy with hands-on delivery.
