Human Resources Services Consultant (12 Month Opportunity)

About the role

HR Direct, part of CommBank, is recruiting a Human Resources Services Consultant for a 12-month opportunity in the Sydney CBD area. The team gives employees and people leaders advice on HR policy, workplace relations, pay and other HR enquiries. You will partner with customers across the Group, understand their needs and take ownership of matters through to resolution where appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide trusted, efficient and professional HR advice on a broad range of employee and leader enquiries.
• Interpret and apply HR policy to guide customers through employee lifecycle enquiries.
• Support performance management, workplace concerns and conduct matters with sound judgement.
• Enable employee and leader self-service to drive simpler, faster outcomes.
• Build stakeholder capability through coaching and education.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across HR Direct.
• Use digital and AI-enabled ways of working to improve the customer experience.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience against clear performance targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a human resources advisory role covering a broad range of people-related matters.
• Proven experience managing sensitive or complex employee matters with sound judgement.
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with leaders, employees and HR stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Resilient, adaptable and proactive problem solver who manages competing priorities.
