Category Manager – Accessories (12‑month contract)

About the role

Based in the North Ryde Support Office, this 12‑month contract role leads the Accessories category for Greencross Pet Wellness Company. Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you will drive innovation, range development and commercial performance across retail and online channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the category strategy using customer insights, market trends and financial analysis.
• Monitor weekly trade performance, analysing sales, margin, inventory and promotions against budget.
• Identify new market opportunities, create range plans and work with PL and sourcing teams on product development.
• Negotiate trading terms and promotional funding with suppliers to improve margin.
• Collaborate with marketing, pricing and replenishment teams to execute effective promotions and pricing strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in retail buying or category management, preferably with private‑brand exposure.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills and ability to make data‑driven decisions.
• Proactive, goal‑oriented and capable of leading and developing a high‑performing team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
