Casual Security Officer - Shuttle Bus Driver

About the role

ACESGroup is looking for casual Security Officers who hold a Medium or Heavy Rigid driver's licence to drive its shuttle bus. The role alternates between driving the shuttle bus between the campus and nearby suburbs, and carrying out high-visibility walking patrols across designated pathways and main campus areas when not on shuttle shifts. Day shifts (0700-1530) and evening shifts (1530-0000) are required.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the shuttle bus around campus and nearby suburbs, picking up and dropping off students on request
• Maintain safety and professionalism while interacting with students and staff
• Respond to workplace emergencies, site safety inspections and alarm activations
• Manage incidents and protect users from security-related risks
• Manage access control systems and maintain security records such as communication logs and reports

Required profile

• Valid NSW 1A Security Licence
• Medium or Heavy Rigid NSW driver's licence
• Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster across 7 days
• Current RSA competency card, current First Aid and CPR, and a Working with Children's Check
• Fire Warden status or willingness to obtain it
• Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication, reliability and punctuality
