Casual Relief Teacher - Primary School

About the role

Oxley Christian College is seeking a Casual Relief Teacher for its Junior School (Prep to Year 6) with an immediate start. The successful candidate teaches from a Biblical perspective, upholds the College's values and delivers lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum. Applicants are asked to read the College's Philosophy and Strategic Education Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging learning experiences using lesson plans and resources provided by the classroom teacher.
• Support the integration of Biblical principles and a Christian worldview in classroom interactions and learning activities.
• Uphold the values and ethos of the College and foster a positive, inclusive environment.
• Maintain a safe, organised and respectful classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively with the Junior School community.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education in Primary Education or a related field, with teaching qualifications.
• Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Experience teaching primary-aged students is preferred.
• Ability to teach from a Biblical perspective and integrate Christian values into teaching.
• Qualified teacher; applicants who are not work-visa holders outside Australia cannot apply.
• Must comply with the College's Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct and the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
