Casual Housekeeper – Oaks Gold Coast Hotel

About the role

Oaks Gold Coast Hotel is expanding its housekeeping department and is offering several casual positions. The hotel is part of Minor Hotels, which owns and operates hotels, resorts and residential apartment buildings in Australia and New Zealand. Candidates must have working rights in Australia or New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, making beds precisely, vacuuming floors and cleaning bathrooms.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Work with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively, with training and tools provided.
• Build professional relationships with team members, guests and contractors.

Required profile

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is highly regarded.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Good physical fitness and stamina, able to bend, lift and stand for long periods.
• Clear communication skills and strong time management.
• Positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
