Casual Housekeeper

About the role

Avani Cypress Lakes Resort is expanding its housekeeping department and is hiring casual housekeepers. The role involves thorough cleaning of guest rooms to maintain high standards and deliver an exceptional guest experience, working in a team-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds precisely, vacuuming floors and cleaning bathrooms.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Work with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use specialised cleaning equipment and products safely, with training and tools provided.
• Build professional relationships with team members, guests and contractors.

Required profile

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting and standing for long periods.
• Professional communication skills and good time management.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Working rights in Australia or New Zealand only.

Shift details and pay

• Rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, with shifts starting between 8:00 am and 9:00 am.
• Hourly rates (excluding superannuation): Monday to Friday $33.85, Saturday $40.62, Sunday $47.39.
