Casual Head Bartender & Events Supervisor – Brisbane

About the role

The Fresh Collective is hiring two separate casual positions in its Brisbane events team: a Head Bartender and a Functions and Events Supervisor. Both roles lead service at venues such as Queensland Museum Kurilpa, Riverlife Brisbane and Waters Edge at Portside Wharf, covering weddings, cocktail parties, gala dinners and corporate events.

Key responsibilities

• Casual Head Bartender: lead bar operations across the Brisbane venue portfolio, supervise and coach bartenders, manage bar setup, stock levels and inventory, and serve cocktails, beer, wine and spirits while maintaining RSA compliance and service standards.
• Casual Functions and Events Supervisor: lead events from setup through service to pack-down, supervise waitstaff and bartenders, oversee service across multiple event spaces, act as the main client contact and coordinate with the culinary team.

Required profile

• Head Bartender: at least one year's experience as a Lead Bartender, Senior Bartender or Bar Supervisor, and availability Thursday to Sunday including evenings and public holidays.
• Events Supervisor: at least 6-12 months' experience as a Head Waiter or Venue Supervisor, with previous functions experience essential; shifts Monday to Sunday.
• Both roles require a current Queensland RSA certificate, Australian working rights and flexibility to work shifts around the event schedule.

Required skills

• Strong cocktail, wine, beer and spirits knowledge (bartender); strong food and beverage knowledge (events supervisor).
• Staff training, stock and bar operations management (bartender); leadership and client-facing service (events supervisor).
