Casual Early Childhood Educator

About the role

Sandhills Early Childhood Centre, a council-operated 59-place centre in Byron Bay, is looking for a casual Early Childhood Educator to help deliver a nurturing, creative and engaging program that supports children's learning and development, strengthens family partnerships and aligns with the National Quality Framework. The opportunity is available from now until the end of 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Work with a team of educators to implement the daily program in line with the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning framework.
• Deliver a program that enhances children's learning and development and strengthens partnerships with families.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in a long day care environment.
• Strengths and commitment to working in early childhood education and care.
• Effective communication with children, parents and other staff.

What we offer

• Pay of $39.94 to $46.27 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, plus a worker retention payment of about $6 per hour.
• The Federal Government's early childhood worker retention payment (an additional 10% of the base Children's Services award rate).
