Casual Carer – Morning Shifts

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is looking for a Casual Carer to provide high-quality care and support to residents at its facility in Jannali, helping them live with dignity and purpose. The position covers Monday to Thursday morning shifts on a permanent part-time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Support residents with mobility and give physical assistance.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and document residents' progress, making sure their needs and preferences are met.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care in a positive, inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance.
• Kind, patient and respectful, with a passion for enhancing the lives of older people.
• Preferred: strong communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork and independent work, understanding of residents' dignity and independence, alignment with Anglicare's Christian ethos, flexible availability including mornings, afternoons or nights.
