Casual and Part-Time Carer - Castle Hill

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is seeking Carers for upcoming casual and part-time positions at its Castle Hill village. Full work rights are required, and availability for morning, evening and night shifts is needed. As a Carer, you will provide person-centred care that supports residents to live with dignity and purpose, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and feeding
• Support residents with mobility, transfers and other physical assistance
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Observe, monitor and accurately document residents' care and progress
• Follow individual care plans and escalate changes in a resident's condition to the Registered Nurse or appropriate leader
• Work collaboratively with nurses, allied health professionals and other care team members
• Maintain residents' privacy, dignity, safety and independence

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or an equivalent qualification
• Minimum six months' experience providing personal care in aged care or a similar healthcare environment
• Current NDIS workers screening check clearance
• Australian working rights appropriate to the position
• Availability for the required shifts, employment type and roster
• Preferred: experience in residential aged care, supporting people living with dementia, completing progress notes, and working with Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary teams

Required skills

• Experience using electronic care management or digital documentation systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (preferred)
