Casual Advanced & Cert III Early Childcare Educator

About the role

Lachlan Children's Services, part of Lachlan Shire Council, is recruiting one Casual Advanced Early Childhood Educator and one Casual Cert III Early Childhood Educator in Condobolin. The role helps build positive relationships with children, families and staff, and contributes to the educational program under the direction of the Educational Leader and Coordinator so that all children receive a high-quality program.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families and staff
• Contribute to the educational program under the direction of the Educational Leader and Coordinator
• Work across services such as mobile, pre-school, after school care, vacation care and other activities that arise from time to time

Required profile

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
• Valid Working with Children Check clearance
• Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
• Child Protection Training Accreditation
• Current First Aid Certificate including Anaphylaxis training
• Class C driver's licence
• Ability to work well in a team and focus on delivering services that support the Council's goals

Required skills

• Sound ability to use Microsoft applications such as Word and Outlook
• Active support and promotion of the safety, rights and well-being of children and young people

What we offer

• Casual Advanced Educator: $39.39 to $42.34 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading); Cert III Educator: $36.72 to $39.51 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)
• Starting salary set according to qualifications, skills and experience; positions classified at Grade 4 and 6 in the Council's salary structure
