Casual Academic Teacher - Gosford Campus

About the role

The University of Newcastle College of International Education (CIE), operated by Kaplan University Partnerships, is expanding to a new Gosford Central campus in 2027 and is recruiting casual teachers to support students in its Foundation Studies, Foundation Studies in Medicine and Express Preparation programs. The role suits experienced, student-focused educators who want flexible teaching opportunities within a supportive, collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching to students preparing for university study
• Support students in building the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to succeed at university
• Contribute to the establishment and growth of the Gosford Central campus

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated expertise in the subject area
• Engaging, inclusive and student-centred approach to teaching and learning
• Confident working with students from diverse cultural, linguistic and educational backgrounds
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Previous experience in a university pathway, foundation studies or tertiary education setting is highly regarded
