Driving Instructor (Contractor)

About the role

NRMA is recruiting a contracted driving instructor for its driving school, which won the 2026 Most Loved Driving School award. The role starts with learner lessons and the NSW Safer Drivers Course, and grows with experience into senior assessments and corporate training programs. It is based in Gosford.

Required profile

• Valid registered ACN
• Own dual-control vehicle, white, less than 5 years old, with a 5-star ANCAP rating
• Current Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training or equivalent
• Valid NSW Driving Instructor License and NSW C class driver's license
• Valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
• Desirable: valid TfNSW Safer Drivers Course qualification

• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with empathy and patience
• Ability to sell NRMA products through a needs-based approach
• Excellent communication across different demographics and driving confidence levels
• Strong knowledge of NSW road rules and regulations
• Effective diary management and time management
• Flexibility to adapt to different customer learning styles
