Care Worker - Residential Aged Care

About the role

Uniting Communities, a not-for-profit community services organisation, is looking for Care Workers to join its Residential Aged Care team at its Glenelg site. The role provides person-centred care and support that enhances residents' wellbeing, comfort and quality of life. Part-time and casual opportunities are also available.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing and continence support
• Assist residents with meals, hydration and daily living activities
• Support mobility using safe manual handling techniques and equipment
• Monitor resident wellbeing and document observations and care notes accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
• Support wellness, reablement and independence-focused care
• Work with nurses, allied health professionals and the wider care team
• Uphold resident choice, privacy, dignity and cultural safety

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent
• Experience as a Care Worker or Personal Care Assistant in residential aged care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to person-centred care and customer service
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team
