Care Director - Aged Care Home

About the role

Estia Health Wattle Glen, a residential aged care home in a quiet, leafy suburb of Melbourne's north-east, is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse, RNIC or Clinical Care Coordinator to join as Care Director. This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday office-hours position, reporting to the Residential Aged Care Manager (RACM) and acting as second in command.

Key responsibilities

• Care for residents and nurture relationships with their families
• Train the next generation of carers and nurses
• Oversee the clinic, from stock to compliance and reporting
• Develop clinical care programs
• Help financially manage the home

Required profile

• Registered nurse qualification and current AHPRA registration
• At least 3 years in a nursing management role at ward level or above
• Experience managing people and budgets
• Aged care background
• Honest, ethical leadership with a desire to learn and challenge yourself
