Care Assistant - Aged Care

About the role

Newcastle Anglican is seeking experienced Care Assistants to join on a permanent full-time basis (76 hours per fortnight) at its aged care facility, Storm Village, in Taree. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing care to seniors in the residential aged care home.

Key responsibilities

• Promote the positive culture of Anglican Care through interactions with residents, staff and their families
• Deliver consistent, person-centred care to residents
• Keep confidentiality in all documentation and communications
• Comply with Aged Care Standards
• Work as an effective team member

Required profile

• Certificate III/IV in Individual or Ageing Support, or a 2nd/3rd year RN student
• Current First Aid certificate (ongoing requirement) or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in Australia

Required skills

• Ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Accurate documentation of residents' care and progress
