About the role
Based in Hawthorn East, Melbourne, the Capability Partner will develop and deliver the Australia and New Zealand capability strategy, turning business priorities into a focused 12‑month portfolio of initiatives that support performance, growth and risk management.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with leaders and the People Organisation to diagnose capability challenges, shape strategic plans and prioritise investment.
- Design and deliver leadership and people‑manager development programmes that strengthen coaching, performance management, decision‑making and collaboration.
- Drive AI and digital capability by building confidence, accelerating responsible adoption and enabling teams to translate emerging technologies into business outcomes.
- Create engaging blended learning experiences using facilitation, coaching, peer learning, digital resources and workplace application.
- Facilitate high‑impact workshops, leadership forums and development programmes, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Establish success measures and evaluate learning effectiveness to ensure measurable behavioural and business outcomes.
- Partner with the Compliance team to design, deliver and continuously improve mandatory and regulatory learning programmes.
Required profile
- 4+ years’ experience in capability, learning and development, leadership development or organisational development.
- Proven experience developing capability strategies and translating business priorities into actionable roadmaps.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with confidence to challenge thinking and provide evidence‑based advice to senior leaders.
- Excellent facilitation, communication and presentation abilities.
- Strategic thinker able to balance competing priorities and translate complex business needs into practical solutions.
- Highly organised, commercially minded and self‑directed, capable of managing multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Practical understanding of AI and digital tools, including responsible use within workforce capability programmes.
- Experience designing blended learning experiences that combine facilitation, coaching, peer learning and digital approaches.
- Ability to measure and evaluate capability initiatives using data and insights.
