About the role

The Cali Beach Club in Surfers Paradise is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead front‑of‑house operations across its core trading days and high‑profile events. You will be the visible leader on the floor, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily front‑of‑house operations in a high‑volume, entertainment‑focused venue.
• Drive guest satisfaction across booths, events and general service areas.
• Manage, mentor and schedule a large FOH team including floor staff, bar staff, hosts and supervisors.
• Oversee floor execution during peak trade, special events and major activations.
• Control labour costs, stock usage and wastage while meeting agreed targets.
• Ensure compliance with RSA, WHS and incident reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations and Events teams to plan and deliver special activations.
• Set service standards and foster a positive team culture as a visible floor leader.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Venue Manager, General Manager or equivalent senior hospitality role.
• Proven track record in high‑volume, late‑trading or entertainment venues.
• Strong leadership ability to motivate, coach and develop large teams.
• Solid understanding of labour control, service delivery and venue operations.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RMLV) certificate.
• Full Australian working rights – no visa sponsorship available.
