Cafe Manager

About the role

NRMA Parks & Resorts runs holiday parks and resorts across Australia, including the South West Rocks Holiday Resort on the Mid North Coast, which welcomes families and holidaymakers year-round. It is looking for an experienced, hands-on Cafe Manager to run the busy onsite café, leading and mentoring a small team and staying on the ground during peak times such as weekends, public holidays and school holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support café operations and ensure outstanding customer service
• Manage and monitor food and beverage budgets
• Control labour costs and optimise staffing levels
• Prepare and manage team rosters
• Recruit, train and develop team members
• Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards
• Monitor stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships
• Drive profitability while keeping quality and guest satisfaction high

Required profile

• Previous experience managing a café, restaurant or similar hospitality venue
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience managing budgets, labour costs and stock control
• Customer-first mindset and strong organisational and communication skills
• Flexibility to work weekends, school holidays and peak trading periods
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and/or Food Handling Certificate
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
