Cadet Drafter – Roads & Highways

About the role

Join a global engineering consultancy as a Cadet Drafter in the Roads & Highways team. You will support the creation of schematic and production drawings for major infrastructure projects across Queensland, gaining hands‑on experience in civil drafting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing schematic and production drawings under supervision.
• Perform general office duties as directed.
• Support senior drafters with task analysis and problem solving.
• Produce construction‑level documentation.
• Check print and issuing procedures.
• Manage vault data according to established processes.

Required profile

• Enrolment in an Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree.
• Willingness to learn civil infrastructure and CAD technologies.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for a multidisciplinary environment.
• Adaptability to changing situations.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Autodesk suite of products.
• Basic CAD drafting skills.
