C-17 Warehouse Logistician

About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is looking for a Warehouse Supply Chain Specialist to join the C-17 Globemaster G3 team at RAAF Base Amberley. The role covers Priority Demand Management, warehousing and distribution in support of the C-17 Globemaster Virtual Fleet, including receipt, dispatch and other warehousing and distribution activities.

Key responsibilities

• Use Inventory Management Systems via USA systems (Warehouse on Web, GOLD ESP and Defence ERP) to support project activities
• Manage and control inventory accounts (Serviceable, Repairable, Quarantine and Disposal) in line with Defence and Boeing policy and procedures
• Work afternoon and weekend shifts, with on-call requirements once proficient
• Handle receipt, storage, handling, packaging and shipping of inventory, and its issuing from the warehouse
• Raise high-priority demands for aircraft based at Amberley and support Virtual C-17 International Fleet Partners
• Learn export packing and processing expectations under the C-17 Known Consignor accreditation

Required profile

• Previous experience in Integrated Logistics Support concepts and methodologies
• Experience with Defence or commercial inventory management systems
• Ability to work continuous shift work
• High-level communication and negotiation skills
• Australian citizenship, as Defence security requirements apply
• Negative Vetting 1 security clearance highly desirable; baseline applications considered
• Experience in an aviation or defence environment

• Microsoft Office suite
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential
