Business Manager (School)

About the role

Lead the way in supporting a thriving school community by managing financial, administrative and operational functions. This position ensures the smooth day‑to‑day running of the school and contributes to a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage school business services, interpret information, adapt processes and resolve operational issues.
• Provide administrative support, prepare reports and correspondence, research issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Supervise and coordinate support staff, manage timesheets, leave, rosters and assist with recruitment, induction and training.
• Assist the Principal with budget preparation, financial management, payroll, purchasing and OneSchool financial reporting.
• Oversee facilities, grounds maintenance, contractors and resource management while building professional networks.

Required profile

• Strong leadership, organisational and financial management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
• Ability to work independently in a sometimes complex environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the OneSchool financial reporting system.
• Experience in budgeting, payroll and purchasing processes.
