Business Development Representative

About the role

Sales Hero is a fast-growing sales outsourcing and consulting business that helps companies manage leads, engage prospects and turn opportunities into customers, working across Australia and international markets. It is looking for an ambitious Business Development Representative to join its Sydney team. The role is full-time and on-site in the Sydney CBD, and is designed as the first step in a defined business development pathway leading to Business Development Executive and then Business Development Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify prospective clients across Sales Hero's target industries
• Conduct outbound prospecting by phone, LinkedIn and email
• Respond quickly and professionally to inbound enquiries
• Speak with business owners and senior decision-makers, representing the Sales Hero brand
• Qualify prospects and book discovery meetings for the senior business development team
• Re-engage previous enquiries and dormant opportunities
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM and follow up consistently
• Take part in coaching, call reviews and sales training, and progress toward running discovery calls and managing opportunities independently

Required profile

• Some experience in sales, customer service, recruitment, hospitality or fitness is helpful; first-time sales candidates are also welcome
• Confident starting conversations with new people and comfortable asking questions
• Goal-oriented, resilient to rejection and able to handle fast-paced environments
• Full-time availability from the Sydney CBD office
