Business Development Manager - Steel Products

About the role

Neumann Steel, a family-owned company established on the Gold Coast over 50 years ago, specialises in steel reinforcing and plastic accessory products for the QLD and NSW markets. As Business Development Manager you manage the full sales cycle: finding new project opportunities, engaging with commercial builders, maintaining key client relationships and growing sales of the steel product range.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and secure new B2B commercial, industrial and structural steel accounts
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with builders, project managers, engineers and fabricators
• Monitor local construction projects, tender opportunities and competitor activity across Queensland
• Work with estimating, production and operations teams so orders are processed efficiently and projects are delivered
• Maintain accurate pipeline records and use CRM systems to track progress toward growth targets

Required profile

• Demonstrated B2B sales or business development experience in the steel, metals distribution, manufacturing or commercial construction sectors (ideally 3+ years)
• Solid understanding of structural steel, cold-formed steel or general metal fabrication
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and networking skills
• Valid Australian driver's licence and ability to travel throughout South East Queensland
