Business Development Manager - Mining Technology

About the role

An Australian mining technology business that delivers specialised software to major resource companies is looking for a commercially minded Business Development Manager. The role drives new opportunities and builds long-term partnerships with mining operators, based in Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Drive growth across mining operations in Western Australia and nationally, identifying and pursuing new opportunities with large mining organisations.
• Manage opportunities from early engagement through to commercial close, and develop a healthy sales pipeline aligned with growth targets.
• Support go-to-market planning and expansion strategy, and lead commercial discussions on pricing, scope and agreement structure.
• Represent the business in client meetings, industry events and site visits, and work with product and delivery teams on new client onboarding.
• Share market insights and customer feedback to influence product direction.

Required profile

• Experience selling into mining operations, with an established network.
• Track record in business development or solution sales; comfortable engaging operations, engineering and procurement stakeholders.
• Exposure to contract negotiations and ability to manage long sales cycles and complex decisions.
• Disciplined pipeline tracking and forecasting, self-driven and relationship focused.
• Based in Western Australia with full working rights.
