Business Development Manager - Mining Projects

About the role

Linkforce, a privately owned contractor delivering shutdown, maintenance and project services to mining, infrastructure, energy and defence clients, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager. Based in the Perth CBD head office and reporting to the Executive General Manager, you will identify, develop and convert new project and maintenance opportunities, strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients and work with operational, technical and executive leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new project and maintenance opportunities across the mining and resources sector
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
• Develop strategic account plans to support long-term client growth
• Work with operational, engineering and commercial teams to develop winning solutions
• Monitor market activity, industry trends and customer insights to spot emerging opportunities
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and opportunity forecasts
• Represent Linkforce at client meetings, industry events and networking forums

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, commercial management or key account management in mining, resources, engineering, construction or related industries
• Strong networks and ability to engage with senior client stakeholders
• Ability to turn opportunities into successful business outcomes
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Commercial acumen, strategic thinking and ability to work autonomously
• Resilience, initiative and adaptability
• Qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline highly regarded
