Business Development Manager

About the role

Optweb Digital, a fast-growing digital marketing agency specialising in SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, website design, AI-powered marketing and digital growth strategies, is hiring a full-time Business Development Manager in Melbourne. The BDM drives business growth by prospecting, generating leads, presenting services, preparing proposals and closing new business across the agency's digital marketing services.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, networking events, referrals and other activities, and build a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects
• Schedule discovery meetings and consultations, and present the agency's services
• Prepare and present proposals, quotations and service agreements, negotiate commercial terms and close deals
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients and ensure a positive customer experience
• Work closely with operations and account management for smooth onboarding
• Maintain accurate CRM records, track lead sources, proposal status and conversion rates, and provide weekly and monthly sales reports

Required profile

• Previous experience in business development, B2B sales, account management or a similar client-facing role
• Strong communication, negotiation and closing abilities
• Confidence in phone calls, meetings and presentations
• Self-motivated, proactive and target-driven
• Desirable: experience in a digital marketing agency, CRM platforms and knowledge of SEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads
