Business Development Manager

About the role

This position drives go‑to‑market effectiveness for the Government and Public Institutions practice in Australia, managing panel and tender processes and supporting strategic growth across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the GPI opportunities pipeline, including panel applications, agreements and tender processes.
• Track tender portals, qualify opportunities and make go/no‑go decisions.
• Serve as point of contact for public‑sector clients on procurement panels, handling Q&A, timelines and documentation.
• Develop high‑quality tender responses, coordinating inputs from partners, legal, finance and knowledge teams.
• Support commercial discussions, monitor market trends and pricing mechanisms.
• Lead post‑submission activities, capture feedback and drive continuous improvement of tender processes.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in business development, tender or bid management, preferably within the public sector or professional services.
• Strong project‑management abilities with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear, persuasive responses.
• Collaborative working style and confidence influencing senior stakeholders.
