Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to launch and own our automotive security systems market in Victoria, Australia. You will be responsible for building the partner network from scratch, driving sales, and managing key accounts throughout the customer lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, map and prospect target automotive partners across Victoria, including dealerships, importers, distributors, fleet operators and insurance companies.
• Conduct cold outreach via phone, email and LinkedIn, arrange in‑person meetings, present product demos and coordinate sample testing.
• Lead negotiations, close distribution or partnership agreements and transition contracts into ongoing account management.
• Maintain pipeline visibility, report market intelligence and sales performance to the international team and senior leadership.
• Travel across Melbourne and regional Victoria for client visits, with fuel and vehicle wear compensation provided.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of full‑cycle B2B sales experience, from cold outreach to signed contract.
• Proven success in cold calling, email and LinkedIn prospecting.
• Existing senior‑level contacts within automotive businesses or automotive insurance firms in Victoria (list required at interview).
• Native‑level English and a valid driver’s licence with own vehicle.
• Willingness to work in a new, untapped market and travel regularly.
