Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities for Border Express in Underwood, Queensland. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will identify, qualify and secure strategic B2B clients, ensuring a smooth hand‑over to the account management team.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly revenue and profitability targets.
• Strategically prospect, qualify and acquire new business aligned with target market profiles.
• Onboard new clients and ensure seamless transition to the Account Management team.
• Effectively manage time and priorities across all key sales tasks.
• Meet activity and sales KPI targets.
• Maintain accurate records within CRM and pipeline management tools.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience.
• Proven ability to sell strategic solutions and consistently achieve sales targets.
• Strong understanding of the full sales process from lead generation to closing.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Highly self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach.
• Current motor vehicle licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
