Business Development Manager - High Voltage Services

About the role

Powertech, an Electrical EPC and Services provider active since 1998 across Oil & Gas, Mining, Utilities, Defence, Infrastructure and Energy, is looking for a Technical Business Development Manager for its Brisbane office. The role is full time and permanent, and focuses on High Voltage Testing, Commissioning and Maintenance, supported by Low Voltage and Instrumentation capabilities. You will work alongside operational leaders and another BDM covering EPC and engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and close high-value technical services opportunities
• Build, manage and convert a strong sales pipeline
• Develop tailored technical solutions with engineering and operations teams
• Cross-sell Powertech services across existing and new client portfolios
• Engage senior stakeholders such as executives, engineers, asset owners and plant managers
• Lead negotiations and deliver commercially sound outcomes

Required profile

• Proven success in business development or technical sales roles
• Understanding of how electrical assets are operated and maintained, able to turn technical capability into commercial results
• Strong commercial acumen with a value-based selling approach
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to operate credibly in technical electrical environments, especially high voltage

Preferred: an electrical trade or engineering background, and experience in Mining, Utilities, Oil & Gas or Renewables with exposure to high voltage environments.
